Brendan McCarthy started his career in the oil and gas business in 1978 with Amoco Production Company in the Willston Basin of North Dakota. He was trained and mentored as a Landman by the late Bud Meany, one of Colorado's legendary Landmen. He worked in the Western States for three years, gaining experience in Colorado, New Mexico, Wyoming, Nebraska, South Dakota, Utah, Kansas, Illinois and Michigan. While in Nebraska, Brendan negotiated and signed a 60,000 acre oil and gas lease from a large rancher in Cherry County. It was the largest lease ever acquired in the history of Meany & Johnson.
Between 1978 and 1991, Brendan worked as an Independent Landman in 15 States throughout the Country. In 1991, Brendan – along with partner and great friend Joseph Bojalad – formed TriEnergy, Inc. Together, they developed TriEnergy into one of the most successful land acquisition companies in the Appalachian Basin.
Brendan became a Certified Professional Landman in 1998. He has served as Chapter 55 President of the IRWA and assisted in hosting the AAPL National Conventions in Pittsburgh, PA.
After selling TriEnergy in 2004, Brendan founded Brighton Resources to focus on providing to-quality land, title and contract personnel services to the Energy Industry.

A native of Pittsburgh and a graduate of Central Catholic High School, Michael received a B.A. from Duquesne University in 2006, majoring in Political Science and History with an emphasis in Pre-Law.
As President of Brighton Resources, Inc., Michael manages Brighton's day-to-day operations and its ongoing relationship with Chevron USA, Inc. in the Appalachian Basin as a Project Manager for the Greater Marshall County Area that encompasses the Northern Panhandle of West Virginia and Eastern Ohio. He is accomplished in all aspects of Oil and Gas Leasing, Curative, GIS Mapping, ROW, Permitting and Certified Oil and Gas Title Examination, among other specialized functions and areas of the Energy Industry.
Michael started his career in the Oil and Gas business by running Oil and Gas Title Examinations for Drake Oil and Gas and then by running Certified Title Opinions for Lambert & Martineau, OGTA and Range Resources. He subsequently joined Brighton Resources quickly rising to become a Land Manager for AB Resources. He has worked in 46 Counties throughout Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Ohio and Maryland. He was promoted to President of Brighton Resources in 2011.
Michael is a Registered Profesional Landman and a member of the IRWA and the Michael Late Benedum Chapter of the AAPL.
